How much baby sleep in a day and night. and what will be the feeding criteria for premature babies.

In this blog mostly I wrote about my own baby Devansh Rana as you all know my baby is also premature and he sleeps lot of hours in a day and night. I am always worried about his sleep why he is so sleepy?? I consult so many experienced mothers and new mothers, is it normal or not? Then my friend meethu told me that it is completely normal. My baby also used to sleep a lot. And it is very difficult task to woke him up for feeding session. Now the main problem is how to feed a sleepy 🍼 baby. There may be chances of choking.

My baby take a total nap of 18 to 20 hours in a day and night in 24 hours so you can think how much it is difficult for me to feed him. It takes 15 to 20 minutes of efforts to make him wake. I have to feed him every 2 hours, I always put alarms in the night time and then I always feed till the age of 6 months. I always feed him after 2 hours but it is very difficult for me. But my mother told me that please let him sleep in the night time don’t wake him up, and many people told me please don’t wake him in the night time but I always make him wake up and I always feed him into 2 hour interval, but now I also think that it is not important.

My baby 🤩🤩@shikhasanoria333

During the 6 months I forgot to feed him approximately 4 to 5 times and then there is a gap of 4 and 4.5 hours and when I wake up I got very scared, is my baby ok or not?? Is his sugar level is okay or not?? but there is nothing to worry now my baby is 2 years old and he is good 👍😊.

Till now I am still breastfeeding. My baby does not like the other milk so sometimes I feed him 3 times or four times in day and night . sometimes he needs feed in the night time 2 to 3 times sometimes he sleep all the night without feed. In the morning I feed baby three times.

That’s all about this blog if you like this please like share 🙏 if possible. Please tell me did you like it or not. And comment your location .

Can a Jaundice in premature needs treatment??

Yes, in most of the cases babies need treatment. Parents have to admit their children in the NICU.

Phototherapy is a light not sunlight which treats babies by breaking down and removing the extra bilirubin from the baby’s blood stream. In this therapy maximum exposure of light is given to the baby body, and baby eyes were covered with black cover.so that eyes not exposed to the light. In rare cases the jaundice will not go away on its own and it needs treatment and as we know the babies are very delicate so we cannot take a chance with their life and it’s a responsibility of parents to consult a doctor as soon as possible. but in most cases doctors said that you have to feed your child in every 2 hours so that the jaundice will go away on its own. but I am telling you the story of my own kid Devansh, whose jaundice is more than 14 points. so doctor told us if the jaundice will come between 10 -11 then there is no need to admit the child but if the value is more than 12 you have to admit in NICU. After the sampling the jaundice is more than 12 and we have to admit the child for 2 days and they put the baby in blue light. we cannot meet with him until 2 days. But after the treatment they again took a sample and the value again comes more than 11 we are very disappointed but then good news comes and the doctor said you can bring your baby with you .

we are very happy and after that we took care day and night and in every 2 hours I feed him and I put alarms of every 2 hours and finally my baby become a normal again.
